The sun-drenched waters of Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe. Within its magnificent shores is the lake's only island, Fannette. You can just make out the remains of its stone teahouse rising from the island's crest. Emerald Bay's other claim to fame is a majestic fairytale castle called Vikingsholm Mansion. Completed in 1929, in stunning Scandinavian architectural style, it is truly a sight to behold.
